Elena and I have been best friends since way back – our parents went to high school together, and we first met while still in diapers at our sisters’ ballet class. It’s been many wonderful years since then, so it is with great pleasure that I am looking forward to her wedding this October to her lovely fiancé Aslan. I’m the maid of honour, so this time I’ll be in the pictures, not behind the camera!
Elena met Aslan when he was transferred to Toronto from Florida one chilly Canadian winter. It was shortly before Christmas, and since Elena didn’t want him to spend the time alone, she brought him home. The rest is history – and a wonderful future!

This is the other boy in Elena’s life: Alfalfa, her 4-year-old Rottweiler, who is as much of a gentle giant as Aslan!
This is one of my favourites from the shoot. Just in case you were wondering, no, we did not graffiti the wall ourselves – the heart was already there. What a perfect find, though, huh?
Such a perfect couple! Everyone around them can feel the love and affection these two share.
We brought Alfie back out for a stroll down the lane. When he wasn’t chasing sticks, he was happy to oblige with a few poses.
There are very few couples as perfectly suited for each other as these two are. Elena and Aslan, you are so lucky to have found this love, and I am honoured to have you in my life.
