This was such a fun wedding!
Katy and I used to work together, so I was thrilled when she asked me to take the photos for her and Chris on their big day.
The Greek Orthodox ceremony was held at the beautiful Annunciation of the Virgin Mary Cathedral in downtown Toronto.

I love this look I caught while the best man signed the registry. Relief – they’re married!

We went down to the beautiful University of Toronto for the wedding photos, and the day could not have been more perfect. Look at that sky!

The little ones were so cute. I’m not sure what it was they were looking at, but they were so entranced that they didn’t notice me sneaking this picture!

Katy and her bridesmaids did some looking of their own – at the CN Tower, of course! Don’t worry… she has eyes only for Chris.

The reception was held at the Argonaut Rowing Club, which is right on the water on Toronto’s lakeshore. Katy and Chris share their first dance:

Katy and Chris had couple of unique requests for their wedding cake, one of which was that the photographer make it! Katy knew from working with me that I also love baking and decorating cakes, so I did double-duty at her wedding. What a fun cake it was to make, too! The first chapter book Katy ever read was “Charlie and the Chocolate Factory”, and since she has always loved it and Chris is a chef, they figured it fit with the theme. What a “sweet” way to begin their life together – complete with a chocolate waterfall!

With everyone full on cake and a fabulous dinner catered by some of Chris’s coworkers, the Greek dancing went late into the night.

What a fabulous party and a fabulous couple. Thank you again for letting me share in the beginning of your many years of happiness together!
